Welcome

Give yourself time to relax, restore and switch off from your everyday norm. Sarah and Chris, your Yoga Teachers who have over 1500 hours of training, are building an incredible experience for you with much love and care. You will have the opportunity to deepen your practice, relax and chill, be part of an amazing community of like minded people, eat the most delicious food from our partner Sophie Gordon.... and all of this in paradise! Don’t be nervous or shy about coming alone – most people on retreats are solo travellers, who make friends, and end up coming away with such a big sense of community!

Hey!

Hey!

Accommodation

This luxurious Villa is located in the north east of the island, near some of the most beautiful beaches and wonderful entertainment that the island has to offer - as well as fantastic spas offering beauty treatments, and the best Thai massage we found! Nestled off the beaten track (yet only 15mins from the airport!) we stumbled upon this absolute gem.

Sea Views

The Villa, comprised of a family of three separate, beautiful buildings, is brand spanking new! Opening the doors in Feb of 2018 it sits in a private gated location, guarantying serenity as we hold space for a week of connection, learning, fun and relaxation. Each villa (within a stones throw of each other) has a beautiful kitchen, tranquil lounge area and stunning infinity pool and terrace to enjoy during the down time. All with an unobstructed view of the ocean, and a chance to catch the sunrise as it breaks the blue horizon. The separate three living rooms and three pools give you a chance to break away and have some quiet time.

Luxurious Bedrooms

Luxurious Bedrooms

Each of the shared rooms is fitted with two generous beds and your own private en-suite. Laundry facilities are available in each villa should you require them during your stay. You don’t need to have someone coming with you already to share, we are happy to pair you up with someone of the same sex if you want to make a new friend during the trip! If a private room sounds like it’s more of your thing please message us to find out the rates.

Yoga

We will be exploring the full spectrum of your yoga practice during the retreat. Nothing is compulsory. Like any yoga class, you take part in the bits that you want, and leave the bits that you don’t!

Dynamic Vinyasa (75-90mins) will feature every day, to energise and wake up the body. It will include the Rocket series which is Sarah’s passion. Restorative and Yin practices will also play their part to help you wind down at the end of each beautiful day, creating harmony and balance within your body.

Strength and Softness

Strength and Softness

Moving beyond the asana (posture based) parts - we will have daily sessions of Pranayama (breathing techniques) to awaken the body and mind and help us create different states and focus for different yoga practices. Setting up a Meditation practice (which is incredibly beneficial but often misunderstood) will be part of the experience. No previous experience necessary. You will be helped into forming an effortless meditation practice that you can take home and continue.

Going Deep

Going Deep

There will be 2 yoga workshops. These will give you greater depth and knowledge into specific elements of the yoga practice. We will be spending an afternoon exploring inversions, and another flying into the world of Acroyoga!

Stay Open

Stay Open

Having two teachers, both Sarah and Chris, will add so much to your experience. Many retreats have only one teacher for 15 - 20 students. We believe in a personal approach. We will be a group small, with lots of time for a real 1:1 experience and hands-on adjustments. This retreat is for anyone who either loves yoga, or wants to get into it.

Food

The incredible Sophie Gordon is joining us in Thailand to not only cook, but to teach us too. Soph is renowned in the London yoga community for creating beautiful and delicious vegan and vegetarian meals. All meals will be included and provided in our beautiful villas, apart from one meal which will not be included. That evening we would like to all go out for some local (inexpensive) food and go to see a fire show!

Soph will also be delivering an interactive cooking workshop during the retreat to give you the opportunity to learn some practical cooking skills and make the dishes that you have been enjoying whilst you’re here. It will allow you to take home a little taste of Thailand, to prepare any time you want to whisk yourself back to this incredible time away.

Check out Soph's delicious food here.

Sarah Grogan

Yoga Teacher

Sarah is an Irish yogi, who after 8 years working in the City of London as a stock broker, left it all to follow her heart and pursue a life of Yoga. She realised she was far more passionate about getting people to invest in themselves rather than in stocks!

It was the stresses of city life that initially lead Sarah to find yoga on a yoga retreat!

Since deciding to pursue her passion as a yoga teacher, she hasn't looked back! Sarah's teaching spans both ends of the spectrum, from meditation to getting people into handstands. Ultimately, her goal is to inspire students like she has been inspired. Sarah’s classes are playful, encouraging students to go outside of their comfort zone both physically and mentally. Experiencing her students grow and develop through the practice is her passion.

Chris Magee

Yoga Teacher

Chris is an international teacher specializing in a strong dynamic vinyasa flow. Originally from Ireland, he has called London home for nearly 11 years, and uses it as his base to travel and teach around the world.

Before finding yoga, Chris’s background in movement centered around rugby, martial arts and personal training. Coming to the practice to help relieve several injuries, he ended up coming back for the mental benefits, leaving each lesson happier and healthier than he was when he arrived, and decided he needed to share this gift with everyone! Chris has trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Budokon, Ashtanga, Rocket Yoga and Acro. Thanks go out to all his teachers including Cameron Shayne, David Kyle, Patrick Beach, Carling Harps, Briohny Smith, Dice Ida-Klein, and Yoga Beyond.

Sessions with Chris are always fun and challenging. You will be encouraged to explore, play and test your boundaries physically and mentally. He believes in our ability to take yoga and live it off the mat. To take those lessons we learn through the asana practice and apply them to how we live our lives.

Sophie Gordon

Chef

Soph’s passion for cooking started at a young age. Growing up was spent cooking simple meals at home with her family. She spends a lot of her spare time sourcing seasonal and fresh produce in local farmer's markets, creating vibrant plant based dishes for herself, family and friends. Inspired by her travels to Australia and Indonesia Soph’s core aim is to create vibrant dishes with seasonal produce, being mindful of her food waste along the way and of course making sure that anyone and everyone enjoys the food she creates. Being a yogi herself, her passion for the yogic and auyverdic food philosophy has made it’s way into her foodie creations and collaborations.
